Workshops for adult siblings, Nov 2017 - Decision-making and the law

Who can make decisions for your brother or sister?

Sibs, the UK charity for brothers and sisters of disabled people, will be running a series of workshops for adult siblings of people with life-long learning disability and/or autism. This workshop on decision-making will look at how mental capacity laws affect the way you and others can make decisions about aspects of your brother or sister’s life.

Carol McBride, a leading lawyer at Hugh Jones Solicitors, will provide valuable information on the Mental Capacity Act and demystify the law around decision-making. You will have the opportunity to meet other adult siblings and share personal experiences.
