An Exciting New Day Service for Adults with a Learning Disability Comes to Bromley

Successful Surrey-based day service opens in Penge this week, offering a wide variety of skilled-based activities to help develop the potential of adults with a learning disability.**

Participants can enjoy music sessions, singing and playing along to their favourite tunes, played live by experienced musicians. Learn new dance routines every week from either a standing or seated position. Become more independent in the kitchen by mastering easy-cook recipes and gaining further utensil skills. Develop creativity in art sessions, using different techniques and materials to produce works of art to be proud of.

In addition, Dayspace has recently added more activities to their timetable including a digital skills session which provides customers safe access to online media and training in broadcast technology. Customers can record podcasts, host their own radio show and much more. Another addition is a session called Signspace, which assists with communication skills using Makaton signing - a widely recognised form of sign language commonly used by people with a learning disability.

All sessions run as part of an ongoing weekly programme and everyone is encouraged to take a free taster session to assess whether the session is suitable.
