Conference Theme:
This inaugural event is aimed at those responsible for shaping future services within health and social care. It will focus on collaborative working to meet the needs of patients / clients with long-term conditions.
Who should attend?
This conference is suitable for registered staff from various disciplines and fields of practice working in health or social care settings.
Programme
Our keynote will be delivered by Prof Jean White (Welsh Government), with the day being chaired by Hazel Powell (ABMUHB). The morning will consist of presentations from education, research and practice. The afternoon session will be opened with entertainment provided by the YPWD Choir, followed by workshops facilitated by a wide range of professionals from across south and mid Wales.
There will be poster presentations from researchers and practitioners with certificates being awarded. Additionally, there will be exhibitors’ stands and showcasing of students’ work.
Attendance certificates will be provided to delegates, which can be used for CPD and revalidation purposes. Reflective templates for NMC revalidation will be provided. It is anticipated that this event will sell out quickly, therefore you are advised to book early if you are interested in attending.

Call for Poster Presentations:
Poster submissions are invited for presentation at the conference. An electronic submission should be made by Wednesday 15th March 2017 to events@southwales.ac.uk.
The submission should include a title and a 200-word description with authors’ name(s).
Successful applicants will be notified on Friday 24th March 2017.
The final poster format should be colour printed on A0 or A1 in a portrait style –
display boards will be provided.

Authors should be available to discuss their posters at the conference. Please note poster presenters will be offered a discounted rate to attend the Conference.
