Coronavirus and people with learning disabilities: a study of the lives of people with learning disabilities through the coronavirus pandemic

UK Research and Innovation have funded a new research project that is looking to find out more about the experiences of people with a learning disability of the coronavirus pandemic. This research is being led by Professor Richard Hastings (University of Warwick) and Professor Chris Hatton (Manchester Metropolitan University). The researchers want to talk to 1000 adults with a learning disability across the UK three times over this year. This can be done in a variety of ways, such as over the phone or on Zoom or FaceTime. Anyone interested in taking part can find out more and register their interest here.
There is also a survey for family carers and support workers of people with learning disabilities who could not take part in an interview with a researcher themselves, and who know that person really well. If you would like to complete this survey you can do this here.
