Diagnosing dementia in a person with Down syndrome can be difficult. The National Task Group on Intellectual Disabilities and Dementia Practices has developed the NTG-Early Detection Screen for Dementia to identify early signs and symptoms of dementia in adults with intellectual disabilities.
