We’re working with Wessex Voices (Healthwatch) supporting them with a new eye care survey for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism and we know that they are really keen to hear from adults with PMLD as to what their experiences are locally getting sight tests. With support of SeeAbility with the questions, there are opportunities to speak to the team or use their survey material (easy read with free post envelope on request, or online). You can read more here and we thought Choice Forum would be a great place to help promote! More here (https://www.wessexvoices.org/eyecaresurvey.html). It is open until 16th February and the team’s contact details are there too.
The idea is that will get some good independent evidence as to how to improve community eye care in optical practices.
Many thanks, Donna, SeeAbility
