Invitation for a carer to join a study steering committee for a study on quality of life

We are looking for a carer for a person with mild/moderate learning disability who might be interested in joining a project steering committee for the ICONIC research project that is aiming to improve quality of life in people with learning disability who display behaviours of concern/distress.

he project involves adapting DIALOG+, a brief solution focused approach aimed at improving the therapeutic effectiveness of routine clinical meetings in mental health services, and in care home settings, with a view to improving quality of life for people with learning disability.

The role would involve attending an online meeting (about an hour and a half) once every 6-9 months with other committee members who have a wide range of expertise and experience. The research team will provide an update on the project and committee members will give advice about different aspects of the study, helping us to identify potential challenges and solutions. You will receive a £20 gift voucher for taking part in each meeting. You may occasionally be asked to look at documents beforehand.
