Launch of Learning Disability England's housing guide: December 12th

Are you helping people with learning disabilities and autistic people to think about their housing choices? Have you been using Together Matters’ guide ‘I’m Thinking Ahead: How to find the right housing and support’?

If so, you might want to have a look at Learning Disability England’s new, accessible housing guide to help people with a learning disability and their families think about where they want to live. This is a much more detailed guide describing people’s rights in relation to housing, different housing options and the payment arrangements. It will be of most use to people who get paid support via the council.

In the guide you will also find lots of useful, clear resources from other organisations too. It’s great to see that Together Matters’ resources are included and we will also be presenting, along with KeyRing Self Advocacy Group at an online launch of LDE’s guide on 12th December at 2pm.
The webinar is open to non-members and will be useful for anyone interested in housing choices including people with learning disabilities, families, social workers, advocates, commissioners and health practitioners. Please book here

You can go to the guide on the Learning Disability England website using this link: https://www.learningdisabilityengland.org.uk/welcome/projects-and-partnerships/housing-guide/

The development of the guide was supported by NHSE and Housing LIN.
