Learning Disabilities Mortality Review (LeDeR) Programme

The LeDeR Programme follows the Confidential Inquiry into premature deaths of people with Learning Disabilities (CIPOLD) and aims to make improvements to the lives of people with learning disabilities by identifying issues that may have contributed to a person’s premature death.

Within the programme some deaths will be subject to a themed priority review. In 2016, these will be deaths of people from Black and Ethnic Minority (BME) communities and those of young people aged 18-24 years.

They are establishing two Review Panels to review these deaths, and would like to invite family members, social care professionals, advocates and people with learning disabilities to send in expressions of interest to join the review panels.
