Meaningful Participation for Disabled People - Friday, March 18th 2016, Liverpool

The Disability Partnership (Sense, Mencap, Scope and The National Autistic Society) is joining forces with NHS England to host a public participation event in March, following on from the two successful events held in 2015 and 2014 in Taunton and Peterborough. The event will focus on enabling and supporting people with disabilities, service providers and commissioners, to work together to ensure meaningful participation in health and social care. Attendees will be disabled people, voluntary sector organisations and health and social care commissioners.

The day includes:
• The opportunity to hear from people with disabilities about their experiences of participation and how best to support them
• A range of workshops giving engagement opportunities [full details of the workshops are being finalised, but they will cover a range of subjects]
• A marketplace session to share current projects and engage directly with service users

When: Friday 18th March 2016, 10.30am to 3pm
Where: St George’s Hall, St George’s Place, Liverpool L1 1JJ
