The easy read leaflet is for women with a learning disability and also for use by healthcare professionals, their family and carers to help explain breast screening. It was developed by and for people with a learning disability.

Breast screening is for women aged 50 and older.

The easy read leaflet tells you:

  • how to choose whether to have breast screening
  • details about the test
  • what happens on the day of the test
  • what the test results mean
  • how to check your breasts
