The easy read leaflet is for women with a learning disability and also for use by healthcare professionals, their family and carers to help explain breast screening. It was developed by and for people with a learning disability.
Breast screening is for women aged 50 and older.
The easy read leaflet tells you:
- what is breast screening
- what is breast cancer
- how to choose whether to have breast screening
- details about the test
- what happens on the day of the test
- what the test results mean
- how to check your breasts
