The CBF is looking to recruit 3 paid interns. This is an exciting opportunity, ideal for recent graduates wishing to gain experience within a small national charity with a reputation for excellence.
Now in its 6th year, our internship programme is well established and structured to provide you with valuable experience. This is an excellent stepping stone into a career within the learning disability field and/or the voluntary sector and gives insight into the experience of family carers.
Family Support Intern + Family Support & Policy Intern
The postholders will gain valuable experience in supporting family carers, researching and presenting information, evaluation of projects and working with a range of professionals in the field.

Communications Intern
The postholder will help to develop and implement the CBF’s communications work, including newsletters, e-newsletters, website, social media, press releases and more. Playing a key role within a small and committed team the intern role will provide a broad variety of Communications experience with opportunity to contribute to our Communications strategy.

All posts will be based at the Challenging Behaviour Foundation (CBF) office in Chatham. There are good transport links and we are within easy walking distance of the bus and train stations.
All Internships are for one year
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: National Minimum Wage
Holidays: 25 days Annual Holiday plus Bank Holidays
