The So What, What Next? project
This Transforming Care project, based in the Black Country, was designed by the Transforming Care empowerment steering group, people with lived experience who are supported by the Local Government Association (LGA). The aim was to look at ways to help people with a learning disability or autism to explore their skills and passions and to find ways to contribute these to their local communities.
The result of the project is a report which shares information about the people they met, the things they did, what they learned and offers ‘top tips’ for people doing similar work in other areas. There is an easyread version of the report and separate ‘top tips’ document.
