Our training online and it will split into two sessions over two consecutive days.

Monday 14th of September 10am -1pm

Tuesday 15th of September - 10am- 1pm

Despite being an online event it will be fully interactive - there will still be a place for small group discussions and questions

Dr Claire Bates is the founder of the Supported Loving Network which promotes best practice around supporting people with learning disabilities to have loving relationships, she is also a researcher at the University of Kent’s Tizard Centre exploring the topic of sexuality and relationships for people with learning disabilities and developmental disabilities.

This practical online course will explore how the most common issues and concerns regarding the law and supporting sexuality and/ or relationships. The course is designed for those providing support and is not a course aimed at legal professionals, it will include some case law examples but will not be overly legal e.g. lots of jargon etc.
