Support With Continuing Health Care Funding

Hello there, I am looking for an organisation (preferably not funded by the NHS) that can provide me independent and impartial advice on our CHC review happening soon. Most of the searches results seem to be focusing on older people in residential care but I have a young person. Thank you.

Belinda Schwehr of CASCAIDr may be able to help or suggest someone?

Hi, welcome LD Mum!

I have found Beacon Advocacy a mine of information on Continuing Health Care Funding. They are totally independent of the NHS and have fantastically helpful free downloadable resources and they also provide one hour of free advocacy. You can have more input from them that you have to pay for. Most people find it is value for money, especially if they can get the funding resolved as the level of professionalism and expertise is very high.
Their links are: https://www.beaconchc.co.uk/about-us/advocacy/

Good luck!

Voiceability are an excellent advocacy service, though I don’t know whether they cover your location or specific question - you can check on their website https://www.voiceability.org/

Belinda Blank of The Advocacy and Support Partnership http://www.advocacyandsupport.co.uk/ is very knowledgeable. I think they may only deliver services around North London but she may be able to point you in the right direction for more local support.

Depending on where you ware based, it might be worth looking for local advocacy services through https://www.theadvocacypeople.org.uk/ or https://www.pohwer.net/Pages/Category/in-your-area - they are commissioned by the NHS for support but they are independent charities.

Wishing you the very best of luck.
