Emotional Resilience and Stress Management for Staff

Aimed at all staff, this session helps you develop effective strategies for managing stress.
At the end of the session, learners will be able to:
- identify the importance of maintaining their own health and wellbeing
- describe the terms emotional health and resilience
- recognise stress, signs and symptoms and causes of stress
- identify pressure from growth proficiency, working with case complexity, risk and manage workload
- identify practical insights, tools and techniques to manage stress and recognise their own emotional state in the workplace
- manage and promote their own wellbeing and emotional resilience
- develop strategies to protect their own wellbeing

This provides learners with the opportunity to gain a greater understanding of Autism (including associated conditions) and how this can affect different people in different ways.
By the end of the day learners will be able to:
- Understand the continuum of autism
- Be aware of current legislation
- Distinguish the characteristics of autism
- Use effect support for the person
- Recognise and apply different forms of communication for effective outcomes
- Apply a person centred approach to support
