The Patient Experience Team at the Department for Health and Social Care are looking for evidence of how improving people’s experiences of care can lead to better health outcomes, better productivity (for example, a reduction in missed appointments), and better patient safety.
They say that a positive experience of care for patients and carers is essential to good health, productivity and patient safety, but that experience of care is not always a priority for healthcare services.
They want to hear from patients and carers who have had positive experiences in these areas that have led to improvements in health, wellbeing and safety.
If you would like to respond to the call for evidence or ask for more information please contact Fatima Anwar at Fatima.Anwar@dhsc.gov.uk. They are also willing to take evidence over the phone. There is also a template you can use if that is easier.
The deadline for submitting a response is Monday 18th August.
